Resources for keeping your faith strong during a crisis

I’m sure you are familiar with the story of the 3 little pigs.
The first 2 pigs built their homes out of straw and sticks. When the big bad wolf came, he huff.
But the third little pig, he was the smart one; he built himself a house out of brick and when the wolf came, he couldn’t destroy it.
Jesus told us a similar story in Matthew.
Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
Matthew 7:24-25
From these 2 stories, we can see that a good foundation will keep your house standing strong.
In this post, you will find helpful resources that will help you keep your faith strong during a crisis, but first, we will look at how to lay a strong foundation, so you can be ready for any storm that may come your way.
A strong foundation
In this world, Jesus said “you will have tribulations” Sooner or later you will experience hardship. Whether you are prepared or not, a storm will come against you.
Would you be standing once the crisis is over, or are you going to fall apart in the midst of it?
It is up to you, the choices you make before the storm hits determines your outcome. Just like in the story of the 3 little pigs.
Jesus said, “everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man that built his house upon a rock.”
The word of God, that’s the foundation you need to be strong.
Your body needs food/nourishment to survive and to thrive. The same thing happens with your spirit. The Word of God is food for your spirit.
When you don’t eat or eat poorly, your physical body gets weak. When you don’t feed your spirit with The Word of God, it gets weak too. When your spirit is weak, any little problem or crisis will make you fall apart.
You need to feed your spirit daily because I imagine that you eat daily, right?
Going to church on Sunday is not enough. You have to open your Bible and read it, you have to meditate on it, memorize it, listen to it. The more you get in the word, the stronger you will be and the stronger your relationship with God will be because you will get to know Him by His word.
Your relationship with The Father will strengthen you too!
A strong foundation is the key to overcome the storms in life. Jesus, the word of God is that foundation.

How to keep your faith strong during a crisis
Romans 10:17
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
A strong foundation equals a strong faith. Because faith comes from hearing the word of God.
When you are in the middle of a crisis sometimes your faith is the only thing that will keep you standing. Don’t wait until you are in a crisis situation to try to strengthen your faith. Start now.
The third little pig didn’t wait for the wolf to come before he built his house. His house was strong and ready.
I have put together some resources for you to keep your faith strong during a crisis. I believe they will be a blessing to you and your family.
