Bible verses about trusting God and not worrying

Bible verses about trusting God and not worrying

There are lots of Bible verses where God tells us not to worry. God wants you to know that whatever you are going through, He sees, He knows and He will bring you through it.

Nothing takes God by surprise. Focus on living today and don’t worry about tomorrow because HE is already there to make a way where there seems to be no way.

Think about these verses, meditate and confess them and let the peace of God that passes all understanding be on you.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Phillippians 4:6-7

Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7

For this reason, I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing? For the pagans strive after all these things,  and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.…

Matthew 6:25-32

So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:34

Bible verses about trusting God to lead you

Bible verses about trusting God to lead you

I know it’s easy to feel lost sometimes. But part of knowing God is knowing that He loves you and He will guide you. The key here is to have a sensitive hearing to the voice of The Holy Spirit because He is our helper.

There is so much going us around us all the time that sometimes is hard to hear the voice of God. So, when you pray, make sure you take a moment to just be silent in the presence on God, so you can hear His voice, His direction leading you.

For you are my lamp, O LORD, and my God lightens my darkness.

2 Samel 22:29

I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.

Psalm 16:7

Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

Proverbs 3:5

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.

Isaiah 30:21

Bible verses about trusting God in difficult times

Difficult times are part of life, Jesus said that in this world we would have tribulations, but He also promised that He would be with us in the midst of them.

When you are going through the fire, remember He is in there with you. You are not alone.

The storms of life come and go, they don’t stay forever. Whatever you are going through sooner or later will pass. Keep your eyes on Jesus because He will keep you up from drowning as he did with Peter when Peter walked on water.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Mark 11:22-23

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore, my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.

Psalm 28:7

Be strong and of courageous, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.

To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

Bible Verses about trusting God’s plan

Bible verses about trusting God's plan

One day a man was talking to his son. He had an ant in his hand and told his boy to imagine the size of the ant’s brain.

His boy thought about how tiny the ant’s brain was.

“Now,”, said the dad, “imagine how big my brain is compared to the ant’s”

The boy’s imagination went wild imagining his dad’s brain and the tiny little brain of the ant.

“The ant’s little brain can only comprehend a few things because it’s very small,” said the dad ” but since our brains are so much bigger, we can do a lot more things like math and science and we can understand things that the ant can’t”

Our brains are like the little ant’s in comparison with God’s all-knowing knowledge. There are things that our little minds cannot comprehend, But God can.

That’s how we know that we can trust His plans. His knowledge is bigger than ours and His love for us is bigger than we can understand. He is always working everything for our good.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

Hebrews 10:36

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

Jeremiah 1:5

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

1 Corinthians 2:9

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:8-9

Bible verses about trusting God’s timing

Bible verses about trusting God's timing

I know sometimes waiting on God’s timing is frustrating. I have been there so many times and I am sure you have too.

When I feel like that, I remember the above example of the human brain and the ant’s brain. I know His timing is perfect even if I don’t agree with it. He knows better because He can see the whole picture.

This is when your trust in your heavenly Father comes in.

To everything, there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance…

Ecclesiastes 3:7

But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him.

Numbers 23:19

Bible verses about trusting God’s will

Sometimes people get confused about God’s sovereignty. They think everything that happens is God’s will. But it is not. Things that happen around us and to us have a lot to do with your free will, your choices, the fallen world we live in, and more.

To know God’s will you have to study the bible and you have to develop a personal relationship with Him. Only then you will know who God is and how He operates.

One thing is sure: God’s will is perfect, He is a loving Father, and He is always for us (His children), and never against us.

Therefore, be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:15-17

In everything, give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men

1 Peter 2:15

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise

Hebrews 10:36

Bible verses about trusting God’s love

Bible verses about trusting God's love

It is so hard to explain how much God loves you in a way that you can understand.

Our brains are so small that we can only comprehend so much. But God’s love for you is bigger than you think.

Jesus gave up heaven, His kingdom and all of its beauty to come to this world to suffer and die for you. Because He loves you.

He is God’s most beautiful treasure, and He was sacrificed so you can be forgiven and have everlasting life. God doesn’t want any of his people to perish, so He sent Jesus, His only son to pay the price that you were supposed to pay, so you can be saved.

His love for you has no measure, there is nothing that you can do to make Him love you less. His love is based on who He is and not on who you are or what you can do.

You can always trust in His unfailing love.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:9-10

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:36-39

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10 (NIV)

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

Psalm 86:15 (NIV)

But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate.

For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’

Luke 15:11 (NIV)

This last verse is taken from the parable of the prodigal son, and you can read it here.

To me, this is one of the verses that shows you how great God’s love is for you. It doesn’t matter how many times you fail Him, His love is there to pick you up and to welcome you back home.

I hope you keep all these verses dear to your heart. They are more than bible verses about trusting God, they are the living word that came out of God’s mouth. It has the potential to change your life, when you believe it and apply it to your life.
